stretching across the table, Harrah’s New Orleans is delighted to announce
John Besh, Executive Chef at Restaurant August, as the newest addition to
our exceptional team. Food & Wine has recently awarded Chef Besh one
of their “Top 10 Best New Chefs in America,” and New Orleans Magazine
named him “Best New Chef” in 1998. Harrah’s New Orleans is also pleased to
announce that The Besh Steakhouse at Harrah’s has recently added 70 new jobs
for the citizens of the New Orleans community! Currently, John Besh is proud to be the Executive Chef at the award - winning Restaurant August in New Orleans. Most recently, The Times - Picayune awarded Restaurant August “5 Beans,” a rarely received and highly prestigious token. August was also recently featured in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2002 Hot List issue as “one of the 50 top new restaurants in the world” and in May’s 2003 Gourmet Magazine. In addition, Travel & Leisure has named this fine dining establishment one of New Orleans’ “Top New Restaurants”.
