 with Poker Champions

New Orleans, May 16, 2005 – Harrah’s New Orleans Casino is inviting members of the public to meet some of poker’s biggest stars, including two-time World Series of Poker Champion Doyle Brunson, at a book signing and autograph session on Tuesday, May 24. This event is free and open to the public. The poker champions will be in town to participate in Harrah’s New Orleans’ first-ever World Series of Poker Circuit Event.

The book signing and autograph session will take place in the Winners’ Cove, which is located near the casino’s Canal Street entrance. It begins with a 2 p.m. “Heads Up: Interview with a Poker Champion” featuring Brunson, perhaps the most famous poker player in the world. This live interview will be free and open to the public. In addition to talking about his life as a poker player and his thoughts on the game, Brunson will take questions from the audience.

The interview will be followed by a book signing with Brunson at 3:15 p.m., and a 3:30 p.m. poker celebrity autograph session with Chris Ferguson, Antonio Esfandiari, TJ Cloutier, Chip Reese, Robert Williamson III, Howard Lederer, Daniel Negreanu, and John Phan.* Brunson’s “Super System 2: A Course in Poker Power” is on sale in the casino’s gift shop for $34.95 plus tax. “Championship No Limit and Pot Limit Hold ‘Em” by TJ Cloutier and Tom McEvoy is on sale for $29.95 plus tax.

Only persons 21 and over may enter the casino.

The World Series of Poker Circuit, which is being sponsored by Degree for Men Antiperspirant and Deodorant, includes events at several Harrah’s-operated casinos nationwide; its stop at Harrah’s New Orleans from May 18 – 28 marks the Circuit’s fifth and final event. The top 20 finishers of these events will be invited to the Tournament of Champions event taking place in Las Vegas later this year. For more information, players may call the Harrah’s New Orleans World Series of Poker Hotline--(504) 533-6578--visit the casino’s poker room, or log on to www.harrahs.com.
