River Resort opens The Rib JointCHOCTAW, Miss. (Sept. 6, 2006) – Pearl River Resort officially opened a new barbecue restaurant named The Rib Joint on Wednesday evening with a ribbon cutting ceremony. “At Pearl River Resort we are dedicated to offering an exciting mix of entertainment and dining options to our guests. One thing we have consistently heard is their desire to see a barbecue restaurant offered at the resort,” explained resort president Chuck Miller. “After months of planning and preparations, we are extremely pleased to present The Rib Joint to our guests.” The Rib Joint menu offers a large variety of southern-style barbecue items from munchies to main courses. The appetizers range from stuffed mushrooms and crab claws to BBQ nachos and delicious Choctaw chili. Traditional barbecue entrees include St. Louis ribs, tender beef brisket and pulled beef and pork sandwiches. All entrees are served with a dry rub specially created by the chef, David Paul, plus assortments of sauces are available on the table. Chef Paul brings 18 years of culinary experience along with his increasingly popular sauce recipes to the Rib Joint team. Meals are served with baked beans, french fries and a choice of coleslaw or potato salad. The Rib Joint also offers take-out party packs which feed approximately 10 people and has many delicious combinations offering ribs, chicken, pulled beef and pork along with all the trimmings. “Our goal was to give The Rib Joint a relaxed and fun atmosphere. With that in mind we decorated the restaurant with an assortment of regional art, covered the tables with butcher paper and filled the room with the sounds of the blues,” said Steve Armer, executive director of food and beverage. “Guests should come hungry and ready for a great meal.” The Rib Joint is located in the Silver Star Hotel & Casino retail promenade and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner, closed on Mondays.
